New tardigrade species Macrobiotus Shonaicus sp. Nov. identified in Japan

Researchers characterized new species using microscopy and genetic analysis. A new tardigrade species has been identified in Japan, according to a study published February 28, 2018 in the open-access journal PLOS ONE by Associate Professor Kazuharu Arakawa and collaborators from the Jagiellonian University, Poland.
