The 22nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese RNA Society
(21.07.09)
The 22nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese RNA Society (organized by the Japanese RNA Society, co-hosted by the Institute for Advanced Biosciences at Keio University, and supported by Yamagata Prefecture and Tsuruoka City) was held over three days from Wednesday, July 7 to Friday, July 9, 2021.
Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the planned in-person event in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture was changed to an online format. The meeting featured 54 oral presentations, 90 poster presentations, and corporate seminars, including invited lectures by leading RNA researchers from Harvard University, UCLA, UC Berkeley, the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the University of Tokyo. On the second day, Bernd Pulverer, Editor-in-Chief of the internationally renowned journal EMBO Reports (European Molecular Biology Organization), was invited to give a special lecture and conduct a poster clinic.
Approximately 350 participants, including researchers, students, faculty members, and industry representatives, gathered for the event, which concluded successfully.
