A complete set of canonical nucleobases in the carbonaceous asteroid 162173 Ryugu

International research group including Project Associate Professor Yoshinori Takano of IAB(who also serves as Principal Researcher at JAMSTEC), group of researchers of JAMSTEC, Hokkaido University, Kyushu University and Human Metabolome Technologies Inc., published the findings of a new study entitled "A complete set of canonical nucleobases in the carbonaceous asteroid 162173 Ryugu" in Nature Astronomy on March 17, 2026.
